Christian Aid – Charlie and Alice
Charlie and Alice made an outing in the All-Age service this morning. They were talking about food in the world which was linked to the Christian Aid week which started today.

Light through the window
We were in church this morning getting things ready for the Easter Vigil service this evening. After checking the incense was OK, we noticed the beautiful light shining through the monk’s window and the smoke.

Holy Darkness
At this afternoon’s Hour at the Cross, we played this song. Really says it all about Good Friday.

Easter Activity Morning
Sixteen children (and their parents!) braved the unseasonable snow drifts and dodgy driving conditions to enjoy the latest Childrens’ Activity Morning. ‘Feaster your eyes’ – yes there has to be a corny title to any activity morning – was three hours full of craft, games and stories.
Throughout the morning, children learnt about the story of Easter from Palm Sunday through to Easter Sunday, and they were given reminders of each part to put in a box they made and decorated as part of one of the crafts.
The crafts the children made were: Easter cards, a decorated egg (Faberge style), chocolate nests, a donkey mask, and an Easter basket and box.
Many thanks to all the helpers who made it through the snow.
We are pretty convinced after the fun and games, that a good time was had by all!
